Welcome to the Compassionate Care in Crisis Training!

    We look forward to meeting you on 9 Sept, 2026
    at 8:46am
    at the Quaker Meeting House in Edinburgh for registration check-in.

    Training schedule is
    Wednesday and Thursday –  8:45am to 430pm
    and Friday, 9 am to 1:00pm.

    Tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided each morning and afternoon.

    Edinburgh International Airport: 45 min from the training location by taxi and bus.

    Glasgow International Airport: 45 min by rail from Edinburgh City Center.

    Edinburgh Waverly Rail Station: ScotRail and LNER (London Northeastern Railway)

     

    Accommodation:

    Accommodation in Edinburgh books up early and fast. We highly recommend booking your lodging as soon as possible.

    Premier Inn: 44 York Pl (20 min walk to the training center)

    Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre: Picardy Place (20 min walk, 12 min bus)

    University of Edinburgh Summer Lodging: Locations vary- (easy training venue access on foot or public transport)

    Edinburgh Guest Houses and B&B’s: Locations vary

     

    Food:

    Edinburgh is known for its incredibly diverse and high quality food options. No matter your food preference, there is an option available!

    Bob the Burger: Burgers and sandwiches (4 min walk)

    Foodstory Edinburgh: Vegitarian cafe and deli (6 min walk)

    Melt Takeaway: Pizza and loaded fries (9 min walk)

    Ranga: Indian street food (10 min walk)

    The Mash Tun: Scottish pub (7 min walk)

     

    Packing:

    Scotland’s diversity of food, landscape, and people is only exceeded by its diversity of weather. Temps in May and November can range from 0c/32F to 20c/70F with a chance of rain perpetually present.
    We highly recommend packing layers, a raincoat, an umbrella, and comfortable walking shoes.
    Dress code for this training is casual. We want you to be comfortable!
